How does FRONTLINE® Plus for Cats work?
FRONTLINE® Plus for Cats is fast-acting, spreading from a single point of application to the entire cat and localizing in the hair, on the surface of the skin, and in the sebaceous glands. These glands act as a reservoir, continuously replenishing FRONTLINE Plus for Cats onto the skin and hair coat, so it keeps working even if the cat gets wet.
Is there a weight or age requirement to give my cat FRONTLINE Plus?
In general, FRONTLINE Plus for Cats is typically acceptable for use in cats that are at least 8 weeks old and weigh at least 1.5 pounds (approximately 0.75 kilograms).
To ensure the proper use of FRONTLINE Plus for your cat, it’s essential to read and follow the instructions on the product label carefully, as there may be variations in age and weight requirements depending on the specific formulation.
If you have concerns or questions about using FRONTLINE Plus for your cat, especially if your cat is very young, very small, or has specific health issues, it’s a good idea to consult with your veterinarian for guidance on the appropriate use of the product.
How long does a dose of FRONTLINE Plus last, and how often should I administer it to my cat?
One dose (pipette) of FRONTLINE Plus for Cats should be applied once per month to protect against fleas and ticks. Year-round application is essential for pets in many parts of the country.
